In light of the prolonged economic downturn since 2000, policy evaluations (administrative evaluations) have been introduced to national and local governments, who in turn are demanding more effective operations within limited budgets.
Currently the public sector demands personnel with the analytical skills to clearly understand socioeconomic conditions.
The goal of this course is to gain analytical abilities through lectures and seminars.
We will conduct seminars with the objective of learning basic statistics and analysis methods, and experience the importance of evidence in the policy field.

2000年以降の長引く景気低迷を背景に、国や自治体では政策評価（行政評価）が導入され、限られた予算の中で効果的な事業が求められるようになってきました。
今、行政の現場では、社会経済情勢を的確に把握するため、分析力を持つ人材が求められています。本講義では、講義と演習を通じて分析力を身に着けることを目標とします。

統計基礎及び分析手法を身に着けることを目的に演習を進め、政策現場におけるエビデンスの重要性を体感してもらいます。
