Deepen understanding of the perspectives and methods of sociology of tourism.
Students will deepen their knowledge of sociology through literature readings and understanding of classical discussions in sociology and cultural anthropology. In addition to classroom lectures, fieldwork will be conducted, and students will engage in research and analysis of regional and tourism phenomena using the perspectives acquired in class.
In the latter half of the class, students will individually or in groups determine a research theme and prepare a research plan with opportunities for presentation and discussion.

観光社会学の視点と方法に関する理解を深める。
Deepen understanding of the perspectives and methods of sociology of tourism.
社会学や文化人類学の文献講読や古典的議論の理解を通じて、社会学に関する知識を深める。座学に加えてフィールドワークを行い、授業で身につけた視点を用いて地域や観光現象に関する調査・分析に取り組む。
授業後半には個人もしくはグループごとに研究テーマを定め、発表・議論の場を設けて研究計画を作成する。
