(1) Touching on the various theories and ideas in the history of philosophy and ethical thought, students will deepen their basic knowledge in the disciplines of "philosophy" and “ethics”.
(2) Students will acquire philosophical / ethical thinking methods, as well as academic writing methods, mainly through the completion of small exercises.
Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant, Nietzsche, etc. Many people may have heard the names of famous philosophers, but may not be very familiar with the contents of their philosophy. This class is aimed primarily at beginners in "philosophy" and "ethics", and will introduce major arguments in the history of philosophical and ethical thought.
Each class will cover a different theme, such as "knowledge," "existence," "happiness," and "pleasure and pain," but topics related to tourism will also be discussed from time to time. Furthermore, towards the end of the lectures, we plan to discuss "travel" and "tourism" from the perspectives of philosophy and ethics (with a particular focus on "tourism ethics").

基本的には予習よりも復習に重点を置かれると良いでしょう．プリントの見直し，参考文献を調べるなど，各自で復習してください．

（１）哲学史・倫理思想史上のさまざまな学説・考え方に触れることで，「哲学」・「倫理学」という学問に関する基礎的な知識を学び，理解を深める．（２）課題に取り組むことを通して，哲学的／倫理学的な思考の方法と学術的な文章の書き方を身につける．

ソクラテス・プラトン・アリストテレス・デカルト・カント・ニーチェ等々… 有名な哲学者たちの名前だけは聞いたことがあるけれど，彼らの思想内容についてはよく知らないという人も多いかもしれません．この授業では「哲学」「倫理学」という学問に初めて触れる学生を主な対象として，哲学史・倫理思想史における主要な議論を紹介していきます．
授業ごとに「知識」「存在」「幸福」「快苦」といったそれぞれのテーマを扱いますが，観光学部設置の科目のため，折りに触れて観光に関連する話題も取り上げます．また，講義の終盤では哲学・倫理学の視点から，「旅」や「観光」について（とりわけ「観光倫理学」を中心に）扱う予定です．
