In this course, students will be able to:
1)understand and explain basic approach and framework of cultural anthropology.
2)analyze and explain tourism phenomena observed in everyday life from the perspective of cultural anthropology.
Throughout the course, students will learn basic approach of cultural anthropology and how to apply it to analyze tourism. We will consider political, economic aspects of tourism, as well as dynamism of creating culture through tourism. It also focuses on the meaning of tourism for hosts and guests by applying the framework of the Anthropology of Tourism.

人類学的なアプローチでは、すぐに答えがでないテーマや問題に向き合うことができる知的な態度が求められる。「タイパ」「コスパ」とは真逆の姿勢が求められる。
授業資料は、Canvas LMSをとおしてPDFファイルで配布する。教室では配付しない。
各自で印刷して持参するか、PDFファイルに書き込みができるタブレットやPCを持参すること。
前年度と評価方法が異なるため注意すること。
双方向的な授業にするため、授業中にオンラインツールを用いて質問をすることがある。ただし受講者数、教室と通信環境から全員が解答できるわけではないため、質問への回答は加点対象にはしない。出席点もないので注意すること。
この授業の到達目標は次のとおりである。
1）文化人類学のアプローチと分析枠組みを理解し、説明できるようになること。
2）身近な観光現象を文化人類学の視点から分析し、説明できるようになること。
In this course, students will be able to:

この授業では、文化人類学的なものの見方とアプローチを紹介し、それらを用いて観光現象を分析する。文化人類学的な観光研究（観光人類学）では、観光の政治、経済的な側面に加え、観光をとおして文化が生成されるダイナミズムや、ホスト社会や旅行者にとっての観光の意味を考察する。
Throughout the course, students will learn basic approach of cultural anthropology and how to apply it to analyze tourism.
