The purpose of this course is to acquire the folkloristic perspectives of analyzing and criticizing contemporary tourism as socio-cultural phenomenon.
Since its disciplinary beginning Folklore studies has played an important role of producing cultural properties (folktale, festival, costume, foods etc.) which constitute the touristic resources today. In this course we will analyze and consider the cultural phenomenon in contemporary and historical touristic context, citing various issues from Japan and Europe.

本科目は、文化社会的事象としての観光を分析・批判するための民俗学的視点を学ぶ。
The purpose of this course is to acquire the folkloristic perspectives of analyzing and criticizing contemporary tourism as socio-cultural phenomenon.
民俗学はその学問的な発生の時点から、現在、観光資源となっている文化財（民話、まつり、衣食住、etc.）の形成に重要な役割を果たしてきた。本講義では、民俗学の視点から主として観光の文脈であらわれてくる様々な文化事象を、日本およびヨーロッパの様々な事例を取り上げ、歴史的、現在学的に分析し考察する。
