This course systematically explores East Asia’s close connections among the natural environment, traditional life, and modern society, for students to learn about the formation of modern society, culture, and so on.
This course introduces the various relationships between East Asia's natural environment and human life, culture, and tourism. In particular, focusing on the Korean peninsula (South Korea), the course examines how the natural environment, human lifestyles, industrial structures, and tourist sites are formed. The course also examines the relationship between Japan and Korea. The course extensively uses maps of the Korean Peninsula, video materials, and photographs of South Korea.

This course systematically explores East Asia’s close connections among the natural environment, traditional life, and modern society, for students to learn about the formation of modern society, culture, and so on.
東アジアにおける自然環境と人間生活・文化・観光のさまざまな関係を紹介する。特に朝鮮半島（韓国）に焦点をあて，自然環境と人間生活，産業構造，観光地がどのように成立しているかを学ぶ。そして韓国と日本とのつながりについても考察する。授業では，朝鮮半島の地図および韓国の写真，映像資料を多用しながら進めていく。
