At the end of this course, students should be able to explain basic consepts related to the idea of community and obtain multiple perspectives about the diverse communities and their dynamics.
Community has been used to mean a local society where place and culture are linked. However, as societies and cultures change with the advance of globalization, various communities have emerged. From the perspective of cultural anthropology, this course considers examples from around the world to examine the states, characteristics and socio-cultural backgrounds of diverse communities. The instructor's own research experience in Thailand is also introduced. Topics such as "religion,""ethnicity,""livelihood,""migration,""disaster,""tourism," etc. are discussed in particular.

コミュニティ概念をめぐる基本的な理論枠組みを理解し、多様なコミュニティのあり様とその動態を多面的な角度から把握できるようになることを目指す。
At the end of this course, students should be able to explain basic consepts related to the idea of community and obtain multiple perspectives about the diverse communities and their dynamics.
コミュニティは、これまで場所と文化が結びついた地域社会という意味で用いられてきた。しかし、グローバル化の進行にともない社会や文化が変化するなかで、さまざまなコミュニティが出現している。本講義では、世界各地の事例を取り上げながら、文化人類学の視点から、多様なコミュニティの様態と特徴、社会文化的背景について検討する。講師のタイでの調査経験も紹介しながら、主に「宗教」「民族」「生業」「移動」「災害」「観光」等のトピックを取り上げる。
