This course aims for students to understand the proximity of pop culture to society, economy, politics and culture, while confirming the relationship between popular music and tourism.
In this class, while re-questioning the meaning of "tourism" and "culture", we will focus on popular music as a representative of pop culture, and consider how pop culture is related to Japanese and overseas society, economy, politics, and culture.

ポピュラー音楽と観光の関係を確認しながら、ポップカルチャーと社会、経済、政治や文化との近接性を理解する。
This course aims for students to understand the proximity of pop culture to society, economy, politics and culture, while confirming the relationship between popular music and tourism.
この授業では、ポップカルチャーの代表的な存在であるポピュラー音楽に注目しながら、「観光」や「文化」の意味を問い直しつつ、教科書『ライブカルチャーの教科書』に沿って、ポップカルチャーが日本および海外の社会、経済、政治や文化とどのようにかかわっているのかについて考える。
