This course considers tourism from the viewpoint of international cooperation, especially international development cooperation. It explores the current circumstances and issues of development through tourism in developing countries, through which students obtain basic knowledge of international development. Focusing on the society, culture, and people of the country or region studied, this course aims to enhance comprehensive understanding of the relationship between tourism and international cooperation.
This course examines and considers the challenges and possibilities of development through tourism, using specific cases of international development cooperation that are implemented in, for instance, Asia and Africa. This course also provides knowledge about businesses that are directly or indirectly related to development through tourism.

各授業の後半では、ディスカッションを通して自分の考えを深めたり、発表したりしてもらう時間を作る予定です。
本コースでは、国際協力、特に国際開発協力という視点から観光を捉え、国際開発の基礎知識を学びながら、途上国における観光を通じた開発の現状と課題を考察します。対象となる国／地域の社会・文化および人びとに焦点を当て、観光と国際協力の関係について包括的に理解を深めることを目標とします。
