The learning goals of this seminar are as follows:
1)To understand the basic concepts and perspectives of anthropology, and to develop the ability to view society, culture, and nature from multiple viewpoints.
2)To develop basic skills for thinking about tourism from an anthropological perspective.
Through reading academic texts, this seminar first introduces the basic concepts and theories of anthropology. Students will learn how anthropology understands culture, nature, and society. In the second half of the course, students will study how anthropology has examined tourism as a familiar social phenomenon and what kinds of questions anthropologists have asked.

本演習の到達目標は下記の通りである。
１）人類学の基本的な概念や視座を理解し、社会や文化、自然を多角的に捉える力を身につけること。
２） 観光という現象を人類学的に考察する基礎的能力を養うこと。

文献講読を通じて、本演習では、授業の前半に人類学の基本的な概念や理論を学び、文化や自然、社会をどのように捉えるのかという人類学的視座の基礎を身につける。そのうえで、授業の後半では観光という身近な社会現象に対し人類学がどのような問いを立ててきたのかを学ぶ。
