Clinical psychology involves conducting specialized assessments, formulating intervention plans, and providing professional support to individuals experiencing difficulties or challenges in daily life, or the academic study related to these practices. This lecture aims to foster understanding of the history and development of clinical psychology, its representative theories, methods for assessing clients' conditions, and the practical applications and challenges of clinical psychological approaches.
Students learn about typical theories and structure of the ways to approach and understand psychological problems and the ways people support the development of their mental health (or if they become unable to support it). In the first half, they are introduced to typical theories and techniques of psychotherapy. In the middle part, they learn about types and methods of assessing problems in clinical psychology, and case formulation based on those. In the second half, they are introduced to approaches in clinical psychology through case reports.

人の心の健康について関心をもち，心の問題を個人の問題のみに帰属するのではなく，生物・心理・社会モデルで捉える姿勢が求められます。心理学の基礎的知識があると理解しやすくなるとは思いますが，心理学科以外の学生や，心理学の基礎的知識のない学生も受講できます。
講義内のディスカッションを行う際に，プラットフォーム（Slidoなど）を使用することがあります。またリアクションペーパーをGoogleフォームを用いて回収します。そのため，講義にはスマートフォンやタブレットなどのモバイルツールを持参してください。
臨床心理学とは，なんらかの悩みや生活しにくさを持った方々を対象に，アセスメントや方針を立てて，専門的な援助を実践していくこと，またはそれに関連した学問である。本講義では，臨床心理学の歴史と成り立ちと，臨床心理学の代表的な理論，臨床心理学における対象者の状況把握・アセスメントの方法，臨床心理学的アプローチの実際と課題などを理解することを目標とする。

人間はどのように心の健康を維持発展させるのか（もしくは維持できなくなるのか），そして心理的問題についてどのように理解するか，どのようにアプローチしていくのかについて，代表的な理論やその成り立ちを学ぶ。前半は，心理療法の代表的な理論と技法について紹介する。中盤は，臨床心理学における問題のアセスメントの種類や方法，それらをもとにしたケース・フォーミレーションについて学ぶ。後半は，臨床心理学におけるアプローチの実際について，事例報告やゲストスピーカーの講義なども踏まえながら紹介する。
