The aim of this course is to help students learn about the biological basis of the mind, which is required in "Neuro- and Physiological Psychology", a compulsory subject for the Certified Public Psychologist curriculum.
This course gives an overview about the biological basis of the mind, which is required in "Neuro- and Physiological Psychology", a compulsory subject for the Certified Public Psychologist curriculum. Students will first learn the structure of the brain and nerves, then physiological mechanisms underlying various psychological functions such as perception, language, emotion, attention and memory. Based on these knowledge, mental problems caused by brain disorders, such as higher brain dysfunction and psychiatric disorders, will be explained.

公認心理師カリキュラムの必修科目である「神経・生理心理学」で習得が求められる、心の生物学的基盤を概説します。まず脳・神経系の構造を学習した後、知覚・言語・情動・注意・記憶など様々な心的機能の神経・生理学的機構を説明します。こうした知識をふまえて、高次脳機能障害や精神疾患など、脳の障害によって起こる様々な心の問題について解説します。
