This course develops foundational skills for presenting and discussing psychology research in an academic context using English. Students learn how to explain psychological concepts, summarise research studies, and organise ideas clearly in spoken presentations.
Classes include group work, structured discussions, and short in-class presentations based on selected psychology topics and studies. Activities are arranged in a step-by-step manner, allowing students to gradually build confidence in explaining research findings and engaging in academic discussion.
Throughout the course, students receive repeated opportunities to practise presenting psychological topics and to improve the clarity and structure of their explanations through guided feedback. By the end of the course, students give a final presentation (10–15 minutes) on a psychology-related topic covered in class, demonstrating the skills developed during the semester.
