【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

生態心理学の入門的な知識と考え方を身につけることを目標とする．

This class aims to acquire entry level knowledge on Ecological Psychology.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

アメリカの知覚心理学者，J.J.Gibsonが構想した知覚に対するアプローチの方法は生態心理学と呼ばれている．Gibson及び彼のフォロワーによる研究の紹介を通じて，生態心理学の基礎的な概念やその理論的枠組みについて講義する．
本講義で扱う「心理学」とは特にヒトを含む動物が行う「知覚」と「行為」に関する研究領域を指している．知覚とは，周囲の環境や自分自身の状態について知ることであり，行為とは環境の中である目的を達成するために運動することを指す．道を歩くこと，食事をすること，スポーツをすること，音楽を楽しむこと，私たちが日々の生活の中で行っている活動は常にある種の知覚であり，またある種の行為でもある．
これらの活動の際，私たちは実のところ「何」をしているのだろうか？　私たちは自分が今どこで何をしているのかをどのように把握し，また自分の行動をどのように調整しているのだろう？　本講義では知覚や行為の意味について，遺伝子に組み込まれた本能や神経系の生理的反応としてではなく，特定の環境の中で暮らしている動物の活動という生態学的な視点から考える．

The approach to perception that an American perceptual psychologist J.J. Gibson invented is called ecological psychology. This class introduces the research of Gibson and his followers, provides lectures on the fundamental concepts and theoretical framework of ecological psychology.
The psychology this class handles refers to the research field that is especially related to perception and behavior of animals, including human species. Perception is being aware about your surroundings and environment, as well as your own state, and behavior is performing actions to achieve certain goals within the environment. All activities we perform every day, like walking down the street, eating, doing sports, enjoying music, falls into the category of either perception or behavior.
So, what are we actually doing when performing those activities?　How do we grasp where we are now and what we are doing, and how do we control our actions?　This class teaches to think about perception and behavior not as a set of instincts written in our genes or as biological response of out nerve system, but from ecological point of view as activities of animals living in a certain environment.

授業内および授業後に実施する課題にはCanvasLMSを利用するため，スマートフォンやPC等のネットワークに接続可能な機器を持参すること．

【その他 / Others】

パワーポイントを使用した講義形式を基本とし，映像資料等も適宜使用する．
また，理解を深めるため必要に応じてワークシート等の課題も活用するため，積極的な受講態度が期待される．
リアクションペーパーや小テスト課題へのフィードバックは次回以降の授業時間で行う．
