The student's goal is to understand the connection between “perception” and “action” by animals, including humans, through experiments and fieldwork, and to know how to conduct experiments and fieldwork.
In classical psychology, the “behavior” of animals, including humans, has been viewed as a specific response to a specific stimulus. In contrast, ecological psychology posits that information is embedded within the environment, and that animals, including humans, “behave” in order to “perceive,” and ‘perceive’ in order to “behave.”
This course will conduct experimental labs and fieldwork to gain practical understanding of the relationship between perception and behavior. We will particularly focus on differences in environmental exploration and behavior arising from differences in physicality.
Furthermore, this course will use Excel for data analysis and graph creation. Additionally, students will use Word to create reports following the format specified by the Japanese Psychological Association. Please bring your own PC.

通常の「心理学実験」ではなく、「生態心理学」の実験をおこなう授業です。
「生態心理学」や「アフォーダンス」の受講経験があることが望ましいですが、先修規定ではありません。
初回授業にて、本授業で扱う内容をお伝えしますので、必ず出席してください。
レポート・発表の作成やデータ分析のためにPCを持参してください。
受講生の人数や関心によって、授業内容やスケジュールを変更する可能性があります。初回授業で説明します。また、授業時間外の作業等が生じますので、そのつもりで臨んでください。
人を含めた動物による「知覚」と「行為」の結びつきについて実験・フィールドワークを通じて理解すること、また実験・フィールドワークの方法を知ることを目標とします。

古典的な心理学では、人を含めた動物の「行為」は特定の刺激(stimulus)に対する特定の反応(response)と考えられてきました。一方生態心理学では、環境に情報が埋め込まれており、人を含めた動物は、「知覚」するために「行為」し、「行為」するために「知覚」すると考えられています。
本授業では、知覚と行為の関係を実践的に理解するため、実験実習・フィールドワークを行います。特に、身体性の違いから生じる、環境の探索・行為の違いに着目します。
なお、本授業ではExcelを用いてデータ分析やグラフ作成をおこないます。また、Wordを用いて日本心理学会に則ったレポートの作成をおこないます。PCを持参してください。
