Students learn and also invent methods for editing, organizing and production for turning the written work into a play.
Students learn about methods referring to the complex relationship between text and performance, like adaptation, retelling, handling characters, relative positions, by presenting reading plays in groups. The plan is to have the texts of Chekhov's "The Seagull", Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet", Beckett's "Happy Days" as the examples, but the course can take into account the requests of the participants.

翻案、再話、人称の操作、位置関係など、パフォーマンスとテキストが複雑な関係を結ぶよう差し向ける手法について、リーディング上演のグループ発表を交えながら学ぶ。チェーホフ『かもめ』、シェイクスピア『ロミオとジュリエット』『ハムレット』、ベケット『しあわせな日々』などを改作したテキスト群を例として取り上げることを予定しているが、履修者の需要や希望も考慮する。
