The aim of this course is for students to learn research and analysis methods from media studies perspective and to read academic writings. The course will enhance students' ability to verbalize their ideas through presentations and writing, as well as to analyze and understand topics from a broad perspective through discussions with other students.
This course welcomes students who wish to research and investigate media in a broad sense. Research can focus not only on audio-visual culture but also on the mediacy of various objects. Throughout the course, students will present their own research topics in each class and engage in discussions with other students. Based on the discussions from the previous semester, students will cultivate a deeper understanding of their topics. Third-year students will lay the groundwork for their graduation theses or projects, refining their topics and identifying appropriate methods. In some cases, academic texts will be provided, and class-wide discussions will be conducted as needed.

メディア論的に研究、分析する方法、また学術的な文献の読み方を身につける。発表、レポートの執筆を通じて自身の考えを言語化する能力を養い、他の履修者との議論を通して広い視野から物事を理解する姿勢を培う。
The aim of this course is for students to learn research and analysis methods from media studies perspective and to read academic writings. 本演習は、広義のメディア（媒介）に関する研究（制作を伴うものを含む）を受け入れる。視聴覚文化についての研究に限らず、様々な対象の「媒介性」について検討する研究も歓迎する。各回の内容は、主として履修者各々の研究についての発表と議論を中心とする。春学期での議論をもとに、履修者各自の研究テーマを更に深める。3年生は、卒業論文（卒業制作）に向けた基礎づくりを行い、自身のテーマを明確にし、その探求方法として適切な方法を見つける。場合により、全体での文献講読を行うこともある。
