To develop the skills necessary to academically examine the relationship between technology, humanity, and life, starting from embodied lived experiences of images, in order to explore the essence of machine images as they influence modern perceptual experience. In particular, students will cultivate their ability to write academic papers by articulating their own questions and exploring scholarly approaches to addressing them.
In the first half of the semester, we will explore philosophy of technology and technodiversity as research approaches to the questions concerning technology, humanity, and life, through lectures and text readings. In the second half of the semester, students will deliver research presentations, followed by discussions. Students are also required to compile their leaning outcomes into a report and submit it in the final session.

現代の知覚経験に作用する機械映像の本質を追究すべく、技術と人間と生命について、身体的に生きられた経験のイメージを基点として学究的に考察する技能を習得する。特に、受講生がそれぞれに問いを立て、その問いへの学術的な取り組み方を模索することで、論文執筆能力を養成する。

学期の前半は、技術と人間と生命の問いに取り組む研究アプローチとして、技術哲学と技術多様性論について、講義と文献講読をおこなう。学期の後半は、受講生による研究発表と、それについての討議をおこなう。学習の成果は、レポートにまとめて最終回に提出することが求められる。
