Students learn the basic knowledge and role of the equipment used for the sound in video works, and acquire skills.
Becoming able to read video works about a sound in particular.
They think of the role of sound in the video in practice.
In this class students record the sound, and learn the basics of finalizing that sound while checking it.
In particular, the goal is to obtain basic knowledge about equipment like microphones and recorders, as well as basics of finalizing the sound using video editing software.
Of course, a video work does not consist only of sound. So, this class is a workshop where students shoot and finalize a really short video in small groups. By this, they learn to think about the video from the point of view of sound.
Therefore, they should actively participate in class activities.
In addition, lectures will be held in parallel with a workshop. While introducing specific works, cultivate literacy and analytical ability for video and sound based on the experience gained in the practical training. Impose interim and final reports.

映像作品における音響に関して、機材に関する基礎的な知識と技術の習得ならびに、その役割について学ぶ。
映像作品について、特に音について深く読み取れるようになる。

映像において音響の果たす役割について実践的に考える。
この授業では、実際に音を収録し、その音を確かめながら仕上げていくまでの基礎を学習する。
具体的にはマイク、レコーダーなどの基本的な知識と技術、ならびに映像編集ソフトを用いての仕上げの基礎の習得を目標とする。
もちろん音響のみで映像作品は成立するものではない。そこで、数人のグループを作り、ごく短い映像作品の撮影と仕上げをするワークショップを行う。それを通して音響の視点から映像について考えることとなる。
したがって、授業への受け身ではない積極的な参加が必要である。
また、実習と並行して座学も行う。具体的な作品を紹介しながら、実習で得られた経験をもとに映像と音に対するリテラシー、分析能力を養う。
中間レポート、最終レポートを課す。
