The purpose of this lecture is to understand the characteristics of people living in the region through the music culture that is widely practiced in the region of South Asia. At the same time, we will examine the understanding of performing arts that has been practiced in Japan.
The study focuses on the South Asian region, especially India and Pakistan, and uses music and video materials in connection with the history, religion, and customs of the region, which has established performing arts in a broad sense.

南アジアの音楽世界に興味がある学生を歓迎する
アジア州の中でも南アジア地域で広く行われている音楽芸能文化を通して、当該地域に住む人々の特徴を理解すること。同時に日本で行なわれてきた芸能理解に関しても考証する。
The purpose of this lecture is to understand the characteristics of people living in the region through the music culture that is widely practiced in the region of South Asia. At the same time, we will examine the understanding of performing arts that has been practiced in Japan.
南アジア地域、特にインドとパキスタンを対象とし、広い意味でのパフォーミングアーツを成立させているその地の歴史・宗教・慣習等と関連させながら、音楽資料や映像資料を用いて考察を進める。
