Street culture, born in the 1970s, is of great importance when considering the globalized culture and arts of the 21st century. In this class, we will explore the history, structure, and significance of street culture (hip-hop), which is often discussed superficially.
To gain a deep understanding of street culture—encompassing DJing, rap, breaking, graffiti, and fashion—we will follow Trisha Rose's Black Noise to explore its historical, social, and political contexts. We will deepen our understanding through mutual verification, using specific sounds and visuals as materials. Therefore, please be aware that the time spent viewing and listening to these materials will be extended.

ヒップホップは無菌室での出来事ではありませんゆえ、社会的、政治的、そして道徳やジェンダー／セクシャリティの観点から正しい表現だけをこの授業で扱うことは難しいところがあります。そうした部分を含むコンテントを扱う事前にも注意を促しますが、そのことを留意して履修を決定すること。
1970年代に生まれたストリートカルチャーはグローバル化した21世紀の文化芸術を考える際に、大変重要である。この授業では表層的に取り沙汰されることの多い、ストリートカルチャー（ヒップホップ）の歴史、構造、意義を探っていきたい
Street culture, born in the 1970s, is of great importance when considering the globalized culture and arts of the 21st century. In this class, we will explore the history, structure, and significance of street culture (hip-hop), which is often discussed superficially.
ストリートカルチャー、すなわちDJ、ラップ、ブレイキン、グラフィティ、ファッションまでの範疇を深く理解するために、トリーシャ・ローズの『ブラックノイズ』に則りその歴史、社会、政治的な背景を、また具体的なサウンドや映像を材料にすることによって、相互に検証することによって深めていきたい。よって、音や映像の鑑賞時間が長くなることは事前了解ずみのこと。
