Today any bodily movements are easily recorded by video devices. However the attempt to record them by words or figures can still be beneficial to attain alternative viewpoints and deeper understanding on bodily movements.
In this course, through the lectures on the history of dance notation and score, and the practices to write/read/perform our own scores, we will discover different perspectives to view our own movements, and explore multiple possibilities to translate movements to different forms.
Below is a rough syllabus for this course, but there is a possibility that the contents and speed will be changed depending on participants.
- Learn the history of dance notation, and score.
- Read and perform some scores.
- Make own scores in groups.
- Read and perform another group's score.

グループで協力して、スコア及び上演作品を制作し、発表すること。
映像によって動きを記録することが容易になった現在でも、言葉や図などでそれを記録しようとすることは、動きを見る視点を詳細にするために、なお有効な方法だと考えられます。
舞踊譜（ダンススコア）の過去の実例を知り、動きを記述することで、動きを自分の身体から引き離して見る視点を獲得します。また、自分で動きのスコアを作成し、読解・実演することで、記述から動きに変換する視点・方法を学びます。
