Understanding the disparity between human sight and camera / photographic images.
Understanding the unique photographic world of expression.
Having learned the basic photography techniques, students will learn how to observe reality without being trapped by established visual language, and manifest their own perspectives as photographic works.
Gradually shifting from technical issues to advanced expressive tasks, while learning the basic mechanism of the camera and photography, as well as shooting methods, and ways of reading images. We will introduce various photographic expressions through famous works of photography.
* Course requirements: Student should have a camera capable of switching lenses, such as a SLR or mirrorless. Compact cameras cannot be used. Use of smartphone cameras is strictly prohibited.
Students need not have experience handling cameras, and since the focus of the class is not photography techniques, a desire to operate the camera by yourself while observing instruction is sufficient. Performing initial camera check.
* Each time the format will repeat the cycle as follows: student shooting task, submission the following week, with comments. 12 tasks planned. Students will be required to use individual time for shooting tasks. They will be thinking continually for several months about photographic expression.

一眼レフ又はミラーレスなどレンズ交換ができるレベルのカメラを各自が用意する。カメラのメーカーは問わない。レンズの種類は標準レンズや標準ズームなど持っているもので始めればよい。これから買う学生は単焦点の標準レンズが学びやすい（高価な標準レンズは重いので薦めない。）ボディーとセットで販売している標準ズームでも構わない。コンパクトカメラは不可。スマホカメラ不可。

基本的な撮影技術を学んだ上で、既成の映像言語に囚われずに現実を観察することを学び独自の視点を写真作品として成立させる。

カメラ/写真の基本的な仕組みや撮影方法、映像の読み方を学びながら、技術的な課題から徐々に高度な表現課題へと移行してゆく。著名な写真作品を通して様々な写真表現を知る。
※受講条件：一眼レフ又はミラーレスなどレンズ交換ができるレベルのカメラを持っていること。コンパクトカメラ不可。スマホカメラの使用禁止。
カメラの扱いは初心者でも構わないが撮影技術の指導が授業の主眼ではないので、取説を見ながらでも自身でカメラを操作する意欲があること。初回カメラチェックを行う。
※毎回必ず撮影課題を出し、翌週提出、講評というサイクルを繰り返す。全１２課題を予定。各自撮影課題をこなす時間が必要。数か月間ずっと写真表現について考え続けることになる。
