We will learn the fundamentals of gender diversity and understand the societal challenges and current state surrounding it. Also, we explore ways to build a society that respects diversity.
Japan's gender index remains below global standards, particularly in the political and economic spheres. The lack of progress in appointing women and sexual minorities to leadership roles and diversifying decision-making bodies means gender disparities remain a persistent challenge.
Furthermore, while knowledge about diverse gender identities, including LGBTQ, is spreading, legal frameworks for protecting the human rights of sexual minorities—such as same-sex marriage and anti-discrimination laws—remain insufficient. Moreover, individuals from various minority groups often face psychological distress and suffering due to prejudice and harassment, yet their actual circumstances are not widely understood, and psychological support for them is still developing.
Therefore, this course will lecture on understanding society and its structures from the perspective of “affect,” including affect theory, as well as on psychological challenges and support methods for women and sexual minorities.
Note: While we plan to invite multiple guest speakers, the order of the following class schedule may change due to the availability of the guests.

授業時間外の学修に関する指示は，履修登録完了後に「Canvas LMS」上で履修者に対して行うが、受講後のリアクションペーパーや最終レポートでは、講義の内容を振り返りつつ、受講者自ら関連の書籍などを購読し、自分の考えをまとめる時間を取ることが必要である。そのため、各回の予習・復習にはそれぞれ 2 時間程度を要する。

ジェンダーの多様性についての基礎知識について学び，ジェンダーの多様性をめぐる社会の課題や現状を理解する。また，多様性を尊重し合える社会はどのように作っていけるのかについて考察する。

日本のジェンダー指数は，特に政治分野や経済分野において世界水準より依然として低く，女性・性的マイノリティのリーダー登用や意思決定層の多様化が進まないため，ジェンダー間の格差が依然として課題となっている。
また，LGBTQをはじめとした多様なジェンダーのあり方について，知識の普及が進んでいる一方で，同性婚や差別禁止法など性的マイノリティの人権保障に関する法整備が十分ではない。そして，さまざまなマイノリティと呼ばれる立場の人々は，偏見やハラスメントなどによる心理的困難や苦痛を抱えている場合が多いが，その実情が十分に知られておらず，心理的支援についても発展途上にある。
そこで，本科目では，アフェクト論をはじめとした「情動」という観点から社会やその構造を理解することについて，また，女性や性的マイノリティの方を対象とした心理的課題や支援方法について講義する。
なお、複数のゲスト・スピーカーをお呼びする予定であるが、ゲストの方の都合等により、以下の授業計画の順序が入れ替わる可能性がある。
