In this course, students will be able to:
•Develop a clear understanding of cultural identity and consider alternate views
•Develop a clear understanding of both group and individual identity
•Develop a clear understanding of values
•Develop a deeper understanding of intercultural communication
•Build confidence in expressing personal opinions and experiences
•Develop English ability
•Understand the elements of visual design
•Develop autonomy, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
This course develops student confidence to use English to express themselves on a deeper and more meaningful level. Understanding a foreign culture helps us to understand our own culture and ourselves. Having a clear understanding of who we are and what our values are helps us to interact effectively in a global society. In this course we will practice expressing ourselves through discussion, presentation, and writing, as we develop a clear understanding of our own identity and values.
Students do not need to be concerned about their English level. University entrance exam level English is adequate, and students only need a desire to improve.

このコースは、より深く意味のあるレベルで自分自身を表現するために英語を使う自信を養います。外国の文化を理解することは、自分自身の文化や自分自身を理解することにつながります。自分たちが何者で、自分たちの価値観は何かを明確に理解することは、グローバル社会で効果的に交流するのに役立ちます。このコースでは、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーション、ライティングを通して、自分自身を表現する練習をし、自分自身のアイデンティティと価値観を明確に理解することを目指します。
学生は英語のレベルを気にする必要はありません。入学試験レベルの英語で十分であり、上達したいという意欲があれば大丈夫です。
