・Understand the meaning and philosophy of the welfare system in modern society and its relationship to welfare policy.
・Understand theory and philosophy of the principles of welfare.
・Understand the issues of welfare policy.
・Understand the components of welfare policy (including the roles of government, market, family and individuals in relation to welfare policy).
・Understand the relationship between welfare policy and related policies (including education, housing, and labor policies).
・Understand the relationship between social work and welfare policy.
This is a basic subject in the study of social welfare. Understand the transformation process and current state of Japanese society, and the kind of concepts and systems offered by social welfare. Consider the issues that arise as a result.
The class plan may change depending on the students' level of understanding and progress.

・ 福祉政策と関連政策（教育政策、住宅政策、労働政策を含む。）の関係について理解する。

本授業は、社会福祉を学ぶ上での基礎となる科目である。日本社会の変容過程と現在の姿を理解し、社会福祉がどのような理念や体系で提供され、そこにある課題は何かを検討する。
なお、理解度・進捗状況によって授業計画には変更がありうる。
