(1) To understand the social circumstances surrounding the lives of older adults.
(2) To acquire foundational knowledge for practical activities, including an overview of the Long-Term Care Insurance System, its service structure, contents, and procedures.
(3) To understand methods of supporting older adults through interprofessional collaboration.
With the declining birth rate and the rapid aging of society, the number of older adults in need of care is steadily increasing. As the population ages, the growing number of individuals requiring long-term care and the lengthening duration of care have created an increasing demand for highly trained professionals equipped with specialized knowledge and skills. In this course, students will develop a multifaceted understanding of the current conditions and challenges surrounding the lives of older adults, while also learning about the Long-Term Care Insurance Act and the structure of the Long-Term Care Insurance System that supports their care. In addition, students will deepen their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of social welfare professionals within contemporary society and care systems.

(2) 介護保険制度の概要とサービスの体系、内容および手続き方法等、具体的な実践活動の基本となる知識を修得できる。

少子高齢社会の到来により、介護を必要とする高齢者は、急速に増加している。高齢化の進展に伴う要介護高齢者の増加や介護の長期化による介護ニーズに対応するため、知識と技術を備えた専門性の高い専門職が必要とされる時代を迎えている。本講義では、高齢者の暮らしを取り巻く現状と課題を多面的に理解するとともに、その支援のための主要な介護保険法と介護保険制度について学ぶ。また、現代社会と介護保険制度における社会福祉専門職の役割について理解を深める。
