The goal is to understand the target persons and the substance of social work practice provided by mental health social workers.The subject is appropriate for the Mental Health Social Worker course, “Basics of Social Work Profession in Mental Health（Advanced）”.
After outlining the ways of philosophy and content of practicing mental health social work, the course introduces locations for the practice of social work according to the theme of each session. Based on this, students will deepen their understanding of the social work practice provided by mental health social workers, living conditions, of clients , advocacy, social inclusion and so on.

本授業の目標は、精神保健福祉士（精神保健福祉領域のソーシャルワーカー）が行うソーシャルワークの対象と概要について理解することである。（精神保健福祉士課程で，2021年度以降入学者対象の「精神保健福祉の原理」，2020年度以前入学者対象の「精神保健福祉相談援助の基盤（専門）」(本校では精神保健福祉援助技術総論）の相当科目）

精神保健福祉領域でのソーシャルワークの理念・内容・実践方法について概説後，各回のテーマに即した実践場面を紹介する。これらをもとに，精神保健福祉士が行うソーシャルワーク，対象者の生活実態，権利擁護，社会的包摂等について理解を深める。
