2. Students will be able to understand the basic structure of the medical insurance system.
3. Students will be able to understand the role of social insurance in contemporary society.
This course provides the fundamentals of Japan’s social security system. In particular, it focuses on social insurance—namely the pension and medical insurance systems—which constitute a central component of the social security framework. Through this course, students will gain an understanding of the basic mechanisms and roles of social insurance in modern society, and will be able to think critically and independently about the future direction of pension and medical insurance systems.

本講義では、日本の社会保障制度の基礎を学ぶ。特に、社会保障制度の中でも大きな位置を占める社会保険（年金および医療保険）の基本的な仕組みを理解することを目指す。その上で、現代社会において社会保険制度がどのような役割を果たしているのか、また、今後の年金や医療保険制度はどうあるべきかについて主体的に考えることができるようになることを目標とする。
