This course aims to elucidate the central role of 'information' in the context of welfare and care. It will explore the application of ICT and AI technologies in optimising service quality and efficiency. The course will also consider the potential contributions of these technologies to both service users and practitioners.
This course aims to cultivate an appreciation for the centrality of "information" within the context of welfare and caregiving. By reframing the field through an informational paradigm, we will seek to address the multifaceted challenges confronting the sector. ICT and AI technologies, as instruments for optimizing information utilization, are poised to revolutionize not only welfare and caregiving but society at large. Through an examination of the profound societal implications of these technologies, we will acquire a fundamental knowledge base in ICT and AI, thereby preparing us for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

福祉介護の現場において「情報」が重要な役割を担っていることを理解したうえで、ICT（情報通信技術）やAI（人工知能技術）技術の活用がサービスの質の確保と生産性の向上を実現していることを学ぶ。さらに、これらの技術が利用者や従事者にどのように貢献できるのかを考察する。

福祉介護の現場において「情報」が重要な役割を担っていることへの気づきを得て「情報」の観点から福祉介護の現場を捉えなおすことで、現場の様々な課題の解決を目指す。「情報」を有効に活用するためのツールとしてのICT/AI技術は、福祉介護の現場のみならず社会全体の変革を促そうとしている。ICT/AI技術によって社会全体が大きく変わろうとしていることを学び、これからの社会において必要となる、これらの技術の基本的な知識を修得する。
