Along with treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of mental disorders, we will deepen understanding of how to maintain and improve mental health, together with the various activities, institutions and measures that contribute to it.
In order to consider mental health and pathology, it is necessary to grasp multiple aspects, such as individual characteristics, interaction with people and things, social conditions (institutions, prejudice) along with changes over time. We will also discuss support for professionals, such as stress coping, and collaboration among various types of staff and sectors.

主にパワーポイントを使用した講義形式で、映像資料なども適宜活用する。理解を深めるため必要に応じて実習（ワークシート、グループワーク、ロールプレイなど）を行う予定となっており、積極的な受講態度が期待される。
精神疾患の治療・リハビリテーション・予防とともに，心の健康をいかに保持・増進していくか，またそれに寄与する様々な活動・機関・施策について理解を深める。

心の健康・病理を考えるためには，個人の特性・ヒトやモノとの相互作用・社会のありよう(制度・偏見)・時間の経過に伴う変化等，多角的に事象を捉える必要がある。専門職の支援，ストレスコーピング，多職種・多機関による協働についても適宜とりあげていきたい。
