Learn about the livelihood of people from diverse cultural backgrounds and understand the values, knowledge, and skills needed in community-based multicultural social work practice.
We can consider the challenges and what we can do to achieve a multicultural inclusive society.
In the course of social work practice in various welfare fields, we are increasingly encountering people with diverse cultural backgrounds. We will learn about their current livelihood conditions and welfare issues in the community, as well as various community support efforts. Through lectures and talks by guest speakers, we will learn about the current situation and share ideas on how to provide specific support. Depending on the number of participants, pair work, group work, discussions, presentations, and field work will be incorporated as appropriate.

この授業では、パワーポイントを使用した講義を通し意見や感想を求めると同時に、人数的に可能であればペアワーク、グループワークを通し他の参加受講者とともに考え検討する時間を持つ。自ら考え日常に紐づけていこうとする積極的な受講態度が期待される。
資料の配布、授業中の課題の提出などに「Canvas LMS」を使用するので、授業にPC等を持参すること。
多様な文化的背景を持つ人々の生活を知り、コミュニティを基盤とした多文化ソーシャルワーク実践において必要とされる価値、知識、技術を理解する。多文化共生社会を目指すにあたっての課題と、自身ができることについて考察できる。

福祉に関わる様々な領域でソーシャルワーク実践を行うなかで、多様な文化的背景を持つ人々と出会う機会が増えている。地域に暮らすかれらの生活の現状や福祉的課題と、コミュニティにおける様々な支援の取り組みを学び、共に暮らす包摂的な地域づくりに向けて私たちができることを考える。講義やゲストスピーカーの話を通し、現状を知り具体的な支援のあり方を考え共有する。また人数に応じてペアワーク、グループワーク、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーション、フィールドワークを適宜取り入れる。
