This seminar aims to cultivate students’ ability to critically examine the “difficulties in living” that underlie harmful behaviors, including juvenile delinquency and crime, and to logically articulate their own perspectives on phenomena that are commonly taken for granted in society.
Through close readings of foundational literature on forensic social work, offender rehabilitation, and social work, as well as the viewing of documentary and other visual materials, students will acquire essential theoretical and practical knowledge. In addition, students will actively engage in fieldwork, including attending criminal court hearings, visiting correctional institutions such as prisons, and conducting interviews with relevant practitioners and stakeholders.
In this seminar, students are expected to participate not as passive recipients of knowledge but as active and autonomous learners who collaboratively shape the content of the course together with the instructor.

本ゼミナールでは、非行・犯罪をはじめとした加害行為の背景にある「生きづらさ」に着目し、社会において「あたりまえ」とされている事象に対して批判的な視点から自らの見解を論理的に表明できる力を修得することを目標とする。

司法福祉や加害者臨床、ソーシャルワークにかんする基本文献の講読や映像資料の視聴などをとおして、基礎知識を修得していく。また、刑事裁判への傍聴、刑務所等への参観や関連する人びとへの聴き取り等、積極的にフィールドワークにも出かける。本ゼミナールでは、受講生それぞれが「お客さん」ではなく、「主体的な学び手」として担当教員とともにその内容をつくりあげていく。
