Understand poverty and the problems associated with poverty, and investigate specific efforts by local governments, NPOs, local organizations, FPO, etc. to address poverty and hardship, analyze and consider the actual situation and issues, and come up with improvement plans.
Students or student teams conduct literature research and fieldwork on themes they have set themselves.
Present your own research at a seminar gathering (joint seminar) within the university or with other universities.
Additionally, joint seminars are usually held in November or December.
After that, a report on support for the needy will be created and completed.
Reports can be created as individual reports or group reports.
The report will be approximately 8 to 10 pages per person.

研究発表などのためのレジュメの作成、発表の準備
研究テーマについて、関連する論文や書籍の熟読、資料作成等
フィールドワークについての連絡調整や依頼文の作成、報告書の作成
その他、履修登録完了後に「Canvas LMS」上で履修者に対して行う。
各回の予習・復習にはそれぞれ 2 時間程度を要する。

貧困や生活困窮者に対して、差別や失礼のない適切な対応 そのための貧困問題に対する一定の理解
授業中に調べたりする必要があるので、できる限りパソコンを持ってきてください。
フィールドワーク等は相手先の都合によって授業以外の日時に調査に出る可能性がある。
特に、土日にフィールドに出る可能性もある。これらについては、履修学生と相談して決めていきたい。
フィールドワークについては交通費が必要になる場合がある。
コミュニティ政策学科での教育の中心に位置づけられる選択必修科目である。各教員の研究テーマに即して、少人数クラスで専門文献の講読や現地調査、現場実習などを行う。
本クラスの目標は、貧困や貧困に伴う諸問題を理解し、貧困、生活困窮に対する自治体や民間のNPOや地域団体、企業等の具体的な取り組みについて調査し、その実態や課題を分析し、考察し、改善案を提起できる。

学生または学生チームで自ら設定したテーマで文献調査、フィールドワークを行う。
学内または他大学等とのゼミの集まり（合同ゼミ）において、自らの研究発表を行う。
なお、合同ゼミは例年１１月または１２月に開催している。
そのうえで、生活困窮者支援に関するレポートを作成、完成させる。
レポートは個人レポートまたはグループレポートで作成する。
なお、レポートは、一人８〜１０頁程度になる予定である。
