This course aims for students to understand the role of cultural policy and its relationship with society, economy and politics, while confirming the meaning of "culture and art".
COVID-19 has had a great influence on the area of "culture and art". Is "culture and art" unnecessary and unurgent? What does "culture and art" mean in the first place? In this class, we will consider the possibilities and limits of Japanese cultural policy in the post-COVID-19 era, in relation to the meaning of "culture and art" activities of amateurs.

「文化・芸術」の意味を確認しながら、文化政策が果たす役割と、社会、経済や政治との関係を理解する。
This course aims for students to understand the role of cultural policy and its relationship with society, economy and politics, while confirming the meaning of "culture and art".
COVID-19は「文化・芸術」の領域に大きな影響を及ぼすことになった。はたして、「文化・芸術」は不要不急なのだろうか。そもそも、「文化・芸術」が意味するものとは何か。この授業では、教科書『発表会文化論』に沿って、アマチュアの「文化・芸術」活動のあり方と関連づけながら、ポストコロナ時代における日本の文化政策の可能性と限界を考える。
