【Course Objectives】

Ability to ask questions, set hypotheses, plan and conduct surveys
Ability to create questionnaires, with consideration of question sentences and options
Ability to properly input and aggregate survey data

【Course Contents】

While acquiring the basics of social research, students will learn in a practical training format, the processes from planning and implementation of research, to data collection and analysis. In this class, the purpose is to acquire the related processes of social surveying, with one part of the lecture consisting of the basic methods of both hypothesis generation and hypothesis verification type survey types, and another part where small-scale survey practicals are conducted, inside the class / university.

[Japanese Certification Board for Social Researcher]
This subject is equivalent to Social Researcher Certification Course B. It is preferred for students to have already taken Methods of Social Research, Course A, or to be taking simultaneously.
