【Course Objectives】

This course aims to teach students how lifelong learning programs benefit Japanese society.

• Students will be able to research and discuss the history, policy and theory that supports lifelong learning in Japan.
• Students will be able to effectively review research sources.
• Students will be able to write an essay based on their research.
• Students will develop their autonomy, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

【Course Contents】

This course focuses on lifelong learning in Japan. Students are required to develop a research question connected to an area of lifelong learning that they are interested in. They are then required to research their question and write an essay based on their findings.
