The goals of this course are to
(1) Acquire representative theories and fundamental knowledge in sociology.
(2) Gain a broad understanding of contemporary social problems from a sociological perspective.
This course examines the structures of various problems surrounding society. What exactly do we mean by “social problem”? The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop multifaceted perspectives on themes such as caregiving, suicide, poverty, loneliness, and euthanasia.

The goals of this course are to

この授業では、社会をめぐる諸問題を取り上げながら、それらの成り立ちと構造について考える。そもそも「社会問題」とは何なのか。現代社会の「問題」は、果たして「問題」たりうるものなのか。ある事象を問題化することは、何を可視化し、何を見えなくするのか。子育て、介護、自殺、貧困、孤独、安楽死などのトピックについて、多角的な視点を持てるようになることが、この授業の目的である。
