The aim of this course is to understand the lives of young people in advanced industrialized countries and develop effective and socially just youth policies.
Young people in advanced industrialized countries face a wide range of risks, such as labor market insecurity and social exclusion across a range of domains. This course will first analyze the social problems that youth face and then consider how they can be solved through social policies.

本授業の目的は、現代社会で若者が直面する課題と若者支援の動向を探り、若者の自立と生活を保障する政策のあり方を理解することである。
The aim of this course is to understand the lives of young people in advanced industrialized countries and develop effective and socially just youth policies.
本授業では、親から独立し、働き、生計を立て、自らの家族を形成する若者期において若者が直面する課題と、それらの解決に向けてどのような政策が必要となるかを検討する。不安定な生活基盤や希薄な社会関係の克服は個人の力では難しく、政策的な対応が必要となる。若者の自立と生活保障のためには、教育・職業訓練・労働・住宅・医療・余暇活動・家族など、幅広い分野を包含する政策が必要である。すべての若者が安心して暮らしてくために不可欠な若者政策の課題と実践を考察する。
