Understanding the meaning of “to be multicultural”, from changes in areas such as labor, education and the local community. In addition, we will consider what kind of awareness and actions are required in a multicultural society.
Using videos and statistical data, we will introduce Japan’s current multicultural situation, exploring specifics, deepening our understanding of the multicultural society and Japan. In addition, we will refer to case-studies in other countries, and consider what kind of awareness and actions are necessary in a multicultural society, while studying what is happening in practice in each region.

「多文化化する」とはどういうことかを，労働や教育，地域社会といった諸領域の変化から理解する。加えて，多文化社会ではどのような意識や行動が求められているかを考察する。

多文化化する日本の現状を，ビデオや統計データなどを活用しながら具体的に紹介し，多文化社会・日本に対する理解を深める。また，諸外国の事例を参照しつつ，多文化社会ではどのような意識や行動が必要であるかについて，各地域での実践を学びつつ考察する。
