・To understand the learning needs, including their social background, that arise from each life stage and social roles.
・To understand various aspects of people's diverse educational and learning activities from various angles.
・Based on the above, we will consider the significance, issues, and possibilities of lifelong learning and social education in modern society.
Based on the basic learning in Introduction to Lifelong Education I, we will examine lifelong learning from a practical point of view. In modern society, various learning needs arise depending on each life stage and social role. Lectures will be given using specific examples of actual educational/learning activities aimed at problem solving, and in addition, explanation of it’s social background will be given.This course mainly deals with issues related to "children", "youth", and "child-rearing". Also, students will be required to conduct research on social issues that the students themselves are interested in from the perspective of lifelong learning and social education, and make a mid-term presentation and report.

・個人研究の実施が授業の中心を占めるので、研究テーマの設定からフィールドワークの実施も含めた研究の実施について、興味関心を持って、主体的に進められることが求められる。
・本科目を受講する前に、「生涯学習概論1」を受講していることが望ましい。
「生涯学習概論1」を受講していなくても本科目を受講することは可能であるが、1で学習する基礎的事項を理解しているものとして授業を進める。したがって、1を未受講の場合には、生涯学習や社会教育に関する教科書的な文献を最低1〜2冊は読んだ上で受講してほしい。
・毎回PCまたはタブレットを持参すること。（参考資料の確認、リアクションペーパーの提出などに使用する）
・各ライフステージや社会的に置かれている立場によって生じる学習課題について、その社会的背景も含め理解する。
・人々の多様な教育・学習活動の諸相について、多角的に理解する。
・上記を踏まえた上で、現代社会における生涯学習・社会教育の意義や課題、可能性について考察する。

生涯学習概論１での基礎的な学習を踏まえ、生涯学習について実践的な観点から検討を行う。現代においては、各ライフステージや社会的に置かれている立場によって、様々な学習課題が生じる。その社会的背景について解説した上で、課題解決を目指した教育・学習活動の実際について、具体的な事例を用いて講義を行う。本講義では主に、「子ども」「若者」「子育て」に関する課題を取り扱う。また、受講生自身が関心ある社会的課題について、生涯学習・社会教育の視点から調査研究を行い、中間発表及びレポート作成を行う。
