To present your vision for fostering an inclusive society as active members by reassessing current aid and international cooperation from a social development perspective.
Economic development can result in global challenges such as social disparities, resource conflicts, and environmental degradation. In response to these issues, NGOs, the United Nations, and other organizations focus on social development to improve people's well-being. In this lecture, you will explore approaches to social development that tackle global issues, such as poverty, conflict, and environmental concerns, using specific examples to examine their effectiveness. You will also discuss the role of NGOs as key players in promoting social development.

社会開発の視点から援助や国際協力の在り方を再評価し、社会を構成する一員として共生社会実現のためにできることを提示すること。

経済成長を重視した開発は、貧富格差の拡大、資源をめぐる紛争、生態系の破壊といった国境を越えた問題を引き起こしています。こうした中、NGOや国際機関等は、人びとのwell-beingに着目した社会開発の重要性を指摘しています。本講義では、貧困、紛争、環境問題等の国境を越えたグローバルな課題に対する社会開発のアプローチについて具体的な事例を通して学び、その有効性を検討します。また、社会開発を推進する主体としてのNGOの役割について考えます。
