Community organizing is a systamatic method of organizing people power to gain "yes" from decision-makers. The main contents to be covered in this lesson are understanding power, changing problems into issues, preparing of strategy chart, understanding self-interest, design of direct action, and building of coalitions.

市民が社会を変える手法である、コミュニティ・オーガナイジングについて、①その強みやポイント（肝）、②利用する際に気をつけなければいけない点について、腑に落ちるかたちで理解する。
Students understand its strengths and key points and its pitfalls and difficulties.
コミュニティ・オーガナイジングとは、社会を変えていくための社会運動の手法である。ひとりでは社会を変えられないが、多くの人たちの力を集めて、意思決定者から「yes」を引き出す手法である。住民運動や労働運動、女性運動などで用いられてきたが、この手法を身につけて、社会を変える力をつけることを目的とする。
本授業では、ロールプレイを通じて、コミュニティ・オーガナイジングを実感的に理解する。具体的な内容は、力（パワー）の理解、問題の課題化、戦略表の作成、自己利益の理解、直接行動の設計、連帯の構築などからなる。
