By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Explain fundraising not merely as the act of soliciting donations, but as a mechanism for allocating resources to address public issues and social challenges.
2. Understand the relationships and key characteristics of funding structures in nonprofit organizations in connection with public policies and administrative programs.
3. Demonstrate a basic understanding of diverse fundraising methods and essential skills used in the nonprofit sector.
4. Critically examine fundraising approaches through case studies and design a basic fundraising strategy for a given public issue.
This course explores the foundations of fundraising, which is essential for nonprofit organizations engaged in addressing social issues and creating public value in local communities. Students will develop an understanding of the structures and mechanisms that support fundraising activities in the nonprofit sector.
By combining lectures with individual and group case analyses, students will develop a practical understanding of core fundraising concepts. The course concludes with the development of a fundraising concept and plan that integrates theoretical insights with applied analysis.

復習：前半の講義においては受講者は1つの非営利組織を選択し、定められた事後学習課題に沿って、選択した団体のケース分析を個別で行う。そのため、十分な復習時間を確保すること。（目安：60～90分）

授業では適宜グループワークを実施するほか、学習の集大成として行うグループでの事例検討では、少人数でのグループプレゼンテーションに向けて準備を行う。受講者相互に学びが深まるよう、メンバー間の積極的なコミュニケーションや、タスク・役割管理能力が求められる。
授業では事前学習の内容等を参照しながらディスカッションを行うため、PCやタブレット等を持参し、自身が行った学習内容を参照できる形で授業に臨むこと。
授業のスケジュールは、進捗度合いによって変動する可能性がある。
本講義では、以下の能力の習得を目指す。
1.ファンドレイジングを単なる寄付集めではなく、公共課題に対する資源配分の仕組みとして説明できる
2.公共政策・行政施策と、非営利組織の資金構造の関係や特徴を理解する
3.非営利セクターにおける多様な資金調達手法やスキルの基本を理解する
4.事例検討を通じて資金調達手法を批判的に検討し、簡易なファンドレイジング戦略を設計できる

本授業では、地域における社会課題解決や価値創造に取り組む非営利組織に不可欠なファンドレイジングについて、その基礎やそれを支える構造・仕組みについての理解を深める。また基礎的なファンドレイジングの知識を、講義や個人・グループによる事例検討を通じて実践的に理解し、授業での学びの集大成としてファンドレイジング構想・計画を立案する。
