・To understand the basic concepts and systems of urban planning, and to be able to relate these to everyday life and think about them in a comprehensive and multifaceted way.
・After the end of this classes, students will be able to acquire the basic abilities and skills to study urban planning independently.
The environment surrounding urban society, including natural disasters due to the climate crisis and declining population, is becoming more complex and uncertain with the times. This class will cover various topics related to urban planning, focusing on important points regarding basic concepts and systems. In addition, in this social situation, this class will incorporate active learning and discuss together with you what social policies are required for the various issues in cities and regions.

Wordやパワーポイントでプレゼンテーション資料やレポートを作成できることが望ましい。
ワークショップやプレゼンテーションで資料作成などを行うためパソコン(PC)等を準備すること。なお、毎回の授業でPCを持参する必要はない。
※原則、講義計画の内容に沿って授業を行う予定であるが、受講者の人数や進行状況等によって一部内容や順番等の変更が生じたり、複数回にあたって授業内容を取り扱う場合がある。
※初回授業は全体の説明やオリエンテーションでもあり、できる限り出席をすること。
・都市計画に関する基本的な考え方や関連する制度の意義を理解し、普段生活をしている中で、これらを関連付けて総合的かつ多角的に考えることができるようになること。
・本授業が終了後も、都市計画に関連する分野を自立的に学ぶことができる基本的な能力とスキルを取得し、主体的に学習ができるようになること。

気候危機に伴う自然災害や人口減少社会など都市社会をとりまく環境は、時代とともに複雑化し、不確実性が増している。本授業では、都市計画をめぐる各トピックに関して、基本的な考え方や仕組み(制度等)を中心に重要なポイントをおさえて講義する。その上で、このような社会情勢の中で、現状を踏まえ都市や地域の諸問題に対してこれからの社会政策としてどのようなことが求められるのかについて、アクティブラーニングを積極的に取り入れ、受講学生と一緒に検討を行う。
