The objectives of this course are as follows:
・to understand the basic ideas and concepts of the mutual relationship between the state and the market in today's increasingly globalised society.
・to develop an interest in various issues related to globalisation, states and markets, and be able to use their knowledge of comparative political economy to consider these issues.
This course will proceed as follows. The main content of the lectures will be an explanation of the basic concepts and theories of comparative political economy. However, in order to understand these, it is necessary to understand the relationship between the state and the market after World War II, so the early part of the lectures will follow the history of the political and economic systems after WWII. After that, we will move on to the theoretical part. In addition, as background knowledge for understanding comparative political economy, knowledge of political science and/or comparative politics may be required, so there will also be sessions dealing with these.

| 講義はレジュメを配布する形式で進める。原則として、重要な事項は講義レジュメに記載するが、補足的・応用的な事項を口頭で説明するので、メモを取ること。必要に応じて、板書を用いる。図や表などをパワーポイントのスライド資料として配布する場合がある。 |
講義レジュメに各回の復習のための参考書の該当箇所を記載するので、受講後必ず該当箇所を読んでおくこと。復習に必要な参考書は、著作権法上許される範囲で配布するので、ぜひ活用してほしい。詳細は授業時に説明する。
また、講義レジュメを見返す、参考書の内容をノートにまとめ直す、などの知識を定着させるための追加の学習を習慣化すること（参考書の講読と合計で最低2時間程度）。また、比較政治経済学が扱う問題は現代社会が現在進行形で直面している問題であることが多いため、時事的な知識が必要になる。そのために、日頃から新聞などの報道に触れる機会を設けること。

本科目は以下の手順で進める。講義の主な内容は、比較政治経済学の基礎的な概念や理論の解説である。ただし、それらを理解するためには、第二次世界大戦後の国家と市場の関係性を理解する必要があるため、講義の序盤は第二次世界大戦後の政治経済体制の歴史的な流れを追う。その後、理論的な内容に入っていく。また、比較政治経済学を理解するための背景知識として政治学や比較政治学の知識が必要になることもあるため、それらを扱う回も設ける。
This course will proceed as follows. The main content of the lectures will be an explanation of the basic concepts and theories of comparative political economy.
