This seminar is an elective course positioned as the culmination of learning in the Department of Community Development. Under the supervision of individual faculty members, students explore their own research interests, engage in academic and/or practical questions, and systematically organize the outcomes of their research in the form of either a Seminar Paper or a Bachelor’s Thesis.
The objectives of this course are as follows:
①To enable students to formulate a research topic and research question that meet the academic standards required for a Seminar Paper.
②To develop students’ ability to critically review prior research and to clearly explain the academic positioning of their own research.
③To enable students to select appropriate research methods—such as literature review, qualitative analysis, or quantitative analysis—and to design a coherent research plan.
This course is a seminar designed to provide research supervision for a Seminar Paper (or a Bachelor's Thesis). Based on individual research interests, students academically explore issues related to local communities, public policy, and community development. Through student presentations and discussions in a seminar format, the course guides students step by step in formulating research questions, critically reviewing prior studies, selecting appropriate research methods, and developing the overall structure of their thesis.

事前学修としては、各回のテーマに応じて、教員が指定した文献を読んでくることが求められる（各回2時間程度）。
自分が報告担当となる回ではレジュメを作成し、論点を明確にした上で演習に臨む。報告者でない場合は、適宜質問やコメントができるように準備してくること。
事後学修としては、ゼミで受けたコメントや指摘を踏まえて自らの研究テーマや研究計画案を修正する作業が昼用となる（各回２時間程度)

本クラスは演習科目のため、授業時間外の主体的な学修が重要となる。
教員からの指示を待つではなく、自ら課題を設定し、継続的に学ぶ姿勢が求められる。
「政策学演習1A/1B」を通じて培った、論文執筆に必要な基礎的なスキルを身につけていることが望ましい。
最終成果物となる演習論文は各自で執筆することを基本とするが、ゼミ生同士のディスカッションやフィードバックを通じて、他者と共に学ぶ姿勢を求める。ゼミ運営に積極的に参加し、主体的な運営に関われる履修生を歓迎する。
資料の共有やレジュメ作成にはPCを準備する必要がある。
コミュニティ政策学科での学修の集大成となる選択科目である。各教員の指導の下、各自の問題関心を探究し、その研究・実践の成果を取りまとめ、「演習論文」または「卒業論文」を作成する。
本クラスの目標は、下記の通りとなる。
① 「演習論文」として成立する水準の研究課題（リサーチ・クエスチョン）を自ら設定できるようにする。
② 先行研究を批判的に検討し、自身の研究が学問的・社会的にどのような位置を占めるのかを説明できるようにする。
③ 文献リサーチ、質的分析、量的分析等の研究方法の中から適切な方法を選択し、妥当な研究計画を策定できるようにする。

本授業は、演習論文（または卒業論文）の作成に向けた研究指導を行う演習科目である。受講生は各自の問題関心にもとづき、地域社会や公共政策、コミュニティをめぐる課題を学術的に探究する。ゼミ形式での報告と討論を通じて、研究課題の設定、先行研究の整理と批判的検討、研究方法の選択、論文構成の検討を段階的に進める。
