Consider what coaching players and athletes means and involves. Also, gain a thorough knowledge of how to best adjust athletes’ condition and how to implement this, and understand the effects of training to help them maximize their performance and best utilize this for competition.
Players' and athletes’ coaches need to implement appropriate training according to the physical strength and skills of the athletes and their practice environment. It is also the role of coaching to educate athletes in goal setting and mental resilience. To this end, the lectures introduce a range of theories and practical methods, including approach to coaching, training theories and methods of conditioning.

10．コーチング環境の特徴１ 対象に応じた指導
スポーツ選手を支援するコーチングとは何かを考える。また、スポーツ選手がパフォーマンスを最大限に発揮できるように、トレーニング効果を理解し、試合に活かすために、コンディションを整える方法や実践などについて総合的に学習する。

スポーツ選手の指導者は、選手の体力や技術など、また練習環境に応じた適切なトレーニングを課すことが必要となる。また、目標を設定し、チームをまとめ精神的な強さを身につけさせることもコーチングの役割である。この授業では、そのために必要なコーチングの姿勢、トレーニング論、コンディショニング法など様々な理論と実践を紹介していく。
