By the end of this course, students will be able to:
-Understand the global dimensions of sport and its societal impacts.
-Analyze international issues in sport such as gender, race, and politics.
-Critically assess the role of sport in cultural exchange and identity.
-Present informed arguments on the role of sport in the everyday social lives.
This course explores the dynamic relationship between sport and international society. Through the lens of globalization, culture, politics, and social change, students will examine how sport influences and is influenced by global trends and institutions. The course encourages critical thinking and intercultural understanding in the context of sport and wellness.
