・Be able to read old diaries from the medieval time of Japan on your own.
・To learn about village life of Japan in medieval times, and political situation in Kibai area in 16th century.
・Be able to find research topics from historical materials related to villages during the Sengoku period.
Reading Masamoto-koh-tabihikitsuke, the diary of Kujo Masamoto, a famous nobleman in Sengoku period. Because Masamoto wrote this diary when he visited Hineno-sho, an important realm of Kujo family located in Izumi, we can gain many important knowledge about village in Medieval Japan. Every time in this course, one reporter has to report on the diary's contents and translate its text.

戦国時代の公家である九条政基が和泉国日根荘に下向した際の日記『政基公旅引付』を輪読する。各回1人の報告者が担当範囲の読み下し・現代語訳・人名語句の解説および簡単なテーマ発表を行い、それをもとに出席者全員で議論する。
